Fireman’s Fund Pizza Program to be discountinued

Announcement calls for all Fireman’s Fund Pizza Program Clients will be non-renewed in 2015.

San Carlos, CA, November 12, 2014- Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company (FFIC) has announced that they plan to discontinue the specialty program for Pizza Delivery Operations in 2015.  With a ripe history in this area, FFIC has excelled in providing a Business Owners Policy along with the hard to place Non-Owned Auto coverage, thus forging themselves as the leading carrier for Pizza Delivery Operators.  Several factors, including claims costs, have lead to the decision to pull out of this exposure. The Pizza Program closure comes less than 60 days after German insurer Allianz announced they will overhaul and may sell parts of its U.S. property and casualty business Fireman’s Fund after struggling for years to bring underwriting losses under control.
